Hello! Welcome to my 21st year in education! It seems as if it was not too long ago that I was walking through the halls of CMHS as a student, but now I am an educator in the building. I love that I have the opportunity to teach at my alma mater and educate my friends' and families' children.
A little about me, I have two sons, Nathan and Matthew. I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, watching sports, and relaxing, which is not very often. My husband and I are active in volunteering with animal rescues and other animal-related causes. I also work part-time on the weekends, so I'm usually very busy.
This year, I also returned to coaching. I am the Girls' Bowling Coach for CM, and I am enjoying it a great deal.
I attended Eastern Illinois University and received degrees in Zoology and Botany, as well as a minor in Chemistry. I also have certification in the Biomedical Program through Project Lead the Way, and have worked with the Missouri PLTW Board to enhance the program. My teaching experiences have included both middle school and high school in Missouri and Illinois. I have taught numerous science subjects, from basic science to honors classes. I enjoy working with a wide variety of students. Each one has something unique to offer the educational setting. I feel extracurricular activities are important, and volunteer a great deal of time to assisting teachers and students throughout the school year.
Please do not hesitate to contact me should you have any questions or concerns. I can be reached through the "CONTACT" page on this site, as well as by calling the school directly. I will do my best to return contact within 24 hours.
