Units of Study
Environmental Science A: Ecosystems Dynamics and Resilience: Organization of Life, Adaptations, Ecology, Energy Transfer through Organisms, Population, Biodiversity, Human Impact
Environmental Science B: Energy Transfer within the Environment: Non-Renewable, Renewable, Climate Change, Human Impact and Consumption, Biochemical Processes of Earth
ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCE B
Environmental Science B covers the cycles of Earth processes, climate, weather, climate change, global population, and the impact all of these have on the environment. In this class, students will be required to participate in both lab activities and research projects. Assessments will be based on written expressions, lab reports, and project analysis. Both individual and cooperative learning assignments will be utilized as means to assess student progress.
UNITS OF STUDY
Unit 1: Earth’s Layout and Systems/Processes
Unit 2: Population Dynamics and Energy
The final exam for the unit will be cumulative over the entire semester.
